Designing For Mental Health

It is important to recognize and address that I am not a doctor. Everything I share are personal thoughts on design. These may be things I have learned from my own experience or tips/tricks I’d like to implement based on my experiences. I hope that by sharing my experience and design solutions I’ve discovered, you may also find some relief and control over your mental health.

 

What gives me the right?

As it states above, I’m not a doctor. That fact is simple. So what gives me the right to talk about mental health? I guess the truth is, I have no more right than the next person to talk about it. I just want to. I want to share my experience and what I’ve learned through lots of self reflection, therapy, designing and redesigning. If these thoughts, opinions, unsolicited advice can help just one person it would be worth it to me.
